Lightning struck in our area, it took out my router and my neighbors computer & their routers too.
My PC survive but now, it takes at least 2-5mins for my pc to turn on. As soon i plug my PC to UPS/AVR, i noticed that the USB mouse light and other pc lights is very dim. It slowly lighten ups to full power, only then can i press the power button so my computer can start. Also noticed, one of the LAN socket is busted.

My issue is very similar to this
http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/276666-28-extremely-slow-power-actual-power-boot-time
but that didn't have any solution. he even replaced his power supply and having the same issue.

can someone confirm this is a powersupply issue? im looking for other cases like this on the internet and confirmed it's the powersupply.

my motherboard is LG1366 socket (w/ corei7), im screwed if it's the motherboard.

either i buy a new set of motherboard/cpu or just replace the power supply.

Well if the lan port got fried, thats common on the MB to die during lightening ,espeically if the router got taken out too. odd's are the mb took some damage. if it takes a while to turn on, but does, that's usually a mb issue, not a psu. if the psu is fried, it won't turn on at all. if the psu is having fluctuations, it will turn on and off randomly. when it takes time to boot, usually the mb.

best bet, turn it on and leave it on till it dies then buy a new pc.

Seems your motherboard got ruined, they have capacitors which stores power to turn on system and stuff and they probably got overwhelmed and damaged badly and probably damaged other parts, if your lucky e writhing else will be okay. I always use a power surge protection plug socket to prevent these things ... Expensive cost for such small odds 🙁 sorry, if you in warranty try return to manufacturer, if you went with big company odds are free replacement 😉
