Hey Guys,

I'm hoping some of you may be able to shed some light as to whats going on here please.

So I built a new machine yesterday (same PSU and GPU, specs below) and looking at HWMonitor the CPU temp #4 is showing as 105c...all others vary around 20-30c

The BIOS CPU temp is showing the average of all 6 temps at around 38-42c

I've reseated the heat sink and went through another round of applying thermal paste but the issue persists.

I haven't bench tested it yet, but I will soon and update you all with my results.

Any ideas on what this could be? Possible sensor issue? Or am I missing something here?

I just cant seem to find anything online with anyone else having the same issue, though if my google skills suck please let me know by providing other users experiencing the same thing so I don't have to waste your time!

Appreciate any assistance here guys. If I've missed anything just let me know and I'll provide what you need.
