Question CPU Temp very high at idle

So my CPU - Ryzen 7 5800x with an NZXT Aio is running incredibly high at idle around 50-60 with jumps to 70-80 and dips to 40. I had this issue for a while and just rebuilt it into a new airflow designed case and re applied the thermal paste (kryonaut) which seems to have helped but still hovers around 50 at idle and can go up to 90 at full load. This issue seems to have started possibly a while back when I applied some command to fix another issue I was having but it was so long ago I don’t remember what it was. Does anyone have any suggestions? Would it be worth a shot to factory reset the pc? Or is there something else that I am forgetting that may be causing the issue?

Sounds like your aio pump is failing or is disconnected.
Possibly air has intruded into the tubes.
How old is the aio?
That’s a good thought. Just about 2 years old I would say. The liquid temps are okay it seems, around 30-34 c. Would a failing aio affect those temps or would they be left unaffected?

Just how idle is it ? Anything above 1% CPU usage is not true idle. As for AIO cooler, which exact one is it ? Also make sure pump is running full speed all the time. Unless there's something wrong with it, slow pump at idle can cause higher temps.
There's also possibility that MB is pushing too high voltages so try Curve Optimizer from BIOS. even -10 to -20 could help much.
