Hi, I have a question? What is the best operating temperature for the PIII 866EB FC-PGA oem Chip? Logical replys only Please. Bruce_W_Schmidt

My slot PIII-500 (o/c @ 600) runs at around 50C (100% load)

my 733 never get's over 40 C full load.. so I would say from what I've seen that 40-50C is good for full load. Even though it's spec'd at max 80 C if it's running that hot something is not right.

A rule of thumb I keep in mind for the Coppermines is that anything over 60*C should be checked out.
