CPU Temperature Curious

I just recently built my computer again. I was curious about the temperature of the cpu. Im assuming these temps are normal at idle. Thanks a bunch guys!

For a well cooled system 40 is a bit on the warmer side.

If you are using the stock cooler, it is probably fine.

However, I recommend good airflow in your case and when you can afford it, an aftermarket cooler. Ideally, stock clocked cpus should have temps in high 20s or low 30s on idle, with a decent cooler such as the hyper 212

Try replacing the thermal paste too.
