Question CPU temperature increasing

Hi, I've been having some issues with my cpu overheating, I did check a lot of posts about similar issues and it did improve a bit but the problem is still there, when the issue first started the CPU when from 30 degrees straight to 90 degrees in few seconds even when idle and in bios, now it is a bit better because I can boot windows but when I open anything even chrome it starts to increase slowly to 80-85 degrees, could that be a faulty pump? I did check and it works, I also applied new thermal paste, I have resitted the heat sink...

The CPU cooler is PCS FrostFlow 240, I don't know exactly how old it is but I got this PC from new 2 years ago build by pcspecialist.

Right now as I'm scrolling through this forum the CPU temperature has increased from 40 deegrees to 75 in basically 2-3 minutes, I don't know if that's normal but I guess it's not especially as it wasn't like that few days ago before it started.

Edit: Now it's 87 degrees and I'm not doing anything, I just have this post opened up, the fans started going at full speed too.

The cooler is an ID Cooling Frostflow with PCS accents on it.
You've maxed out the pump speed in bios to no effect?
Is the cooler still under warranty?

Do you mean pump speed in Q-Fan Control in Bios? I did that to full speed and still no effect. It is not under warranty, I'm considering buying this week another cooler but just worried what if the problem still stays even with new cooler.

Yes, that's what I meant.

If that happens, you're doing something wrong with cooler installations, or the paste you're using has gone sour.
Cpu doesn't run fine previously, and suddenly starts burning up for no reason.
AIOs also are inferior to air coolers in the reliability area. They're kind of all over the place; some fail in under a year, some even get to 8 years(not very common).

OK, I'll buy a new cooler and update you whether it helps, regarding paste I changed it two days ago and no change, before that it was untouched since I got it from PCSpecialists, I did install the cooler the same way it was installed by them as I have build my other pcs before and there were no problems like this so I guess my last hope is that new cooler helps.

Are you sure the pump is plugged to all the right cables?, power, fan control/pump header, etc.?

It shouldn't really matter which header it is plugged in... at least, that's how my motherboard behaves.
The liquid cooling dedicated AIO_PUMP and W_PUMP headers run at 100% by default, but I can still go into bios and set them on curves just like all the other headers.

Yes, it's something I checked multiple times when it started and I know it's connected as it was connected before when it worked great for almost 2 years now.

Hi guys, sorry for the late update, I was very busy with work and just yesterday I managed to get a new cooler, I went for a cheap one CoolerMaster Hyper H412R just to see if the problem was caused by a faulty AIO and yes it was, I replaced it with CoolerMaster cooler and immediately the problem went away, it was 88-99 degrees on idle, now it's 28-32 degrees when doing more intensive stuff like playing it's between 48-55 so I guess that's alright.

Thank you for posting the resolution. Great news then, thats a small yet decent cooler. Don't try to OC with it.
