hello,

i recently installed a new water cooling system in my pc. but i think the temperature is high when idle and under load: 40 degrees idle and 72 degrees under load. i have tried everything that comes to mind to get those temperatures down, applying new thermal compound ect.

the cooling system is: AlphaCool NexXxoS Cool Answer 360 LT/ST, water cooling set.
CPU: AMD athlon x4 760k.
MOBO: asrock fm2a55m-vg3+.

can someone please help me solve this?

It is indeed something wrong with the setup:

1 - The cooler is properly mounted on top of the CPU? Take out the spacers and check the spacing between the cooler and the motherboard, maybe the spacers are too tall and the cooler is not making good contact with the CPU;
2 - The pump is connected to +12V?
3 - Do you hear a slight humm coming from the pump?
4 - Do you see the liquid being circulated through the pipes and the reservoir? The flow should be: reservoir output --> pump in --> pump out --> cooler in --> cooler out --> radiator in --> radiator out --> reservoir input.
5 - Check again if the pump / cooler / radiator are connected the...

5 - Check again if the pump / cooler / radiator are connected the proper way (they should have some arrows to show the direction of the flow)
