This is my current computer specifications:

- Motherboard: Asus Maximus X Hero 1151socket
- Graphics Card: GeForce GTX 1070 8GB Fabric OC
- CPU: Intel Core i7-8700K 3.7GHz ( @4.8GHz OC )
- CPU cooler: Corsair Hydro H115i PRO RGB
- Memory: Corsair Vengeance RGB DDR4 3600MHz ( @3733MHz OC ) 16 G
- Main hard drive : Samsung 970 PRO 512GB PCIe M.2 SSD
- Secondary hard drive : Corsair Performance Pro 240GB SSD
- PSU: Corsair HX750, 750W PSU Platinum
- OS: Windows 10 Pro 64bit

At this overclock my 8700k needs arround 1.320V to reach stability in p95 and occt and Cinebench.

I can also reach a clock of 4.7GHz with 1.295V

The question is: In cinebench i get a score of: Arround 1530-1545 on 4.8GHz clock

and on my 4.7GHz clock i reach arround 1497.

Is this to much of a difference or is it bad? the score difference that is.

And i was wondering at my 4.8GHz overclock i reach 75-81degrees celcius in stresstesting for 4-10hours.

But i usually never hit those degrees while gaming, Let's say i launch CS:GO through steam, and load a server then the processor cores hit arround 68-72degrees but fall back down to 50-64 degrees under gaming straight a way, it's just while launching programs or games it spikes and then drops under the gaming itself.

I was wondering if this is safe for a 24/7 use. Even tho i usually just use my PC for 6-12hours a day.

I've tested bot overclocks for more then 8hours+. and both run pretty stable with an AVX of 0, VCIOO 1.10, and VCSAA at 1.15.

Aswell my ram has a CL of 18.19.39 timings, i use the same timings and voltage on my 3733Mhz bump, and i've not gotten any errors of memtest or the windows memory diagnostic for many attempts atleast.

Also found out if i wanna push for 5GHz overlcock i will need atleast more then 1.35V for my CHIP, and i will not go further then 4.8, concidering my chip is not delidded!

If you ask me your temps are fine at 4.8GHZ, being under 85 degrees and stable in a prime95 is a success in my books. And if you're averaging less than 70 degrees in game, I wouldn't worry about your temps.
The extra 100mhz does require a bit extra voltage which some people think will degrade your CPU but I did some quick research on Coffee Lake and they Intel recommends under 1.52 and most overclockers recommend under 1.40 or 1.45 so I think you're fine.

Personally I would probably even try to push to 4.9, if I could keep voltage under 1.40 and run with that if temps are in check.

Not to worry.
Your temps are fine as is your voltage.
How well you can oc is determined by your luck in getting a good chip.
as of 3/22/2018
What % of I7-8700k chips can oc
at a aggressive vcore near 1.4 or so and delidded
4.9 99%
5.0 88%
5.1 54%
5.2 22%

Note the 1.4v which should be the max, and the delidded processor which will impact temperatures.

Your first limitation should be voltage.
Go no higher than you are comfortable with.

Higher vcore is what drives up temperatures.
85c. for a stress test is ok.

The processor will slow down or shut off if it detects a dangerous temperature.
That is around 100c.

I suspect you have a bit more headroom, but do you really need it?
A i7-8700k is a beast at stock.

How much more than 4.8 do you really need?
I would leave it be.

This is it chief. I agree with all this, and when I mentioned pushing it further I wasn't saying it's necessary or that he would get any kind of real FPS/performance boost or anything like that. My personal preference is to push to limit but there's no real reason to especially paired with a 1070.

Yeah wish i had 1080ti or RTX2080ti or w/e but the bitcoining destroyed my budget haha.

8700k delided running 5.3 GHz with a AVX offset ( 2 ) at 1.42 Vcore /// 5.2 GHz with a AVX offset ( 1 ) at 1.35 Vcore /// 5.0 GHz with a AVX offset ( 0 ) at 1.23, at 5.0GHz max temps under full load 60c
