Here is my new build: AMD 860k 3.7ghz overclocked to 3.9ghz at 1.3v, sapphire dual x 270, 8gb ram, and an aftermarket deepcool gammaxx 300 cpu cooler. I have the cooler set to max speed at 1650 rpms, yet whenever I play games like dota 2, I get temperature readings as high as 62 degrees Celsius. Is this normal and okay? I use speedfan to read my temps, and have adjusted the offsets as accurately as I could. My pc usually idles from 26-29 degrees Celsius.

Idle is around 27-30 degrees celsius, and that is a relief! I had just read some things on other forums saying 65 is a danger zone for your cpu so I just got a little spooked.

Over clocking will definitely make it hotter, but If its stable and not climbing then you are fine, if you wanted to you could upgrade fans on the case make sure you have good intakes and good exhaust fans, they make all the difference. I upgraded the stock case fans and saw a 3-5C difference.

yeah I think I might upgrade my rear exhaust fan, and I might add two different front 140mm fans. Thank you for the tips!
