Hello. I've been interested in streaming just for some friends for fun every once in awhile. However I noticed when testing that my CPU temperatures rise quite high. I am aware that streaming puts more stress on the processor but I want to know if the temps are okay.
Idle - 25-40c depending on ambient temp
Under load - 45-65 sometimes 70 depending again on ambient temp and game.
When streaming - 65-82
These temperatures are gathered using both Speedfan and Core Temp 1.5 to double check. Thanks!

Edit: I am using the stock cooler that comes with intel cpu's.
Also I know that the TJ. max for the CPU is 100c. Im just worrying about those temps causing any damage.

Less than 85C is nothing much to worry about, but of course, the hotter the components, the less longevity they have. If you could not go past 75C, that would probably be more ideal.

Thanks for the answer. It usually sits in the mid 70s only going to 80 sometimes. I do have plans to replace the CPU down the line but its been in the computer for over a year so just worrying about having it die on me or something lol.

Unless you intend to get more than a quad-core within the next few years, getting a decent 3rd party cooler would not be a bad idea, depending on your budget. A good cooler like the Noctua NH-D15 or NH-D15S is pretty insane in its ability to cool the CPU. But it takes up a lot of space, and isn't cheap. Still, vs stock it can reduce the temperature by 20-30C.

Ive been thinking about getting a new one but sadly the room in my case is limited. If there are any great third party coolers that arent too big id be interested in any suggestions. Id like to avoid water cooling if necessary as I find that murphys law tends to smack me in the face any chance it can get 😛

Well, this article right here on Tom's isn't bad: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/best-cpu-coolers,4181.html.
You can sort by size, too: Big, mid, slim. Might be worth a look. Cheers.

Wow thanks thats very helpful I appreciate it a ton
