Hi
I just bought a ryzen 1700 from q local store. The thermal paste on the stock cooler looks yellowish and has some marks as well on it.
Any guesses if it is a brand new or used one? Should I return it back to the shopkeeper?
Any idea suggestion how to further check if it is a new or used one.
Please help.

Solution
If the paste on the cooler's base is even and thin, you're fine. The stock TIM always did seem to be yellowish to me too. More like a yellow hue as though the image/my eyes was/were in sepia mode.

You're fine! If you want better temps on the CPU, get an aftermarket cooler though a tube of quality TIM would further drop temps.
