Cpu thermal paste montage

Hi guys,

A few days ago Ive build my first Pc. I applyed the thermal paste on the cpu (a pea in the middle) and then put the cpu cooler on it, but couldnt get it to fit in the screws on the mobo so I had to take it off again and put it back on. As I took it off the paste was pretty much splattered but I could mount it on the mobo successfully this time.

My question is: Should I reapply the paste again? Are air bubbles formed because I took it off and put it back on again?

Any time you remove the cpu cooler you should replace the thermal compound.
