Question ROG Strix XG43UQ Monitor - - - colors look washed out on PC & PS5 when HDR is enabled ?

it's a 1000 Nits monitor but eveyrthing looks washed out and dim when HDR is enabled ?

Could be to do with local dimming zones, which is reviewed as 'awful'

some other weird things i've encoutered with this monitor .... it works pretty well with games that have in-game HDR settings like RE4 Remake and TLOU 2 Remastrede and it looks perfect , but doesn't work well in games that uses PS5 HDR calibration , RE 4 looks incredible with HDR..
this issue also remains in Asus OLED monitors they won't let user to change the visual gaming modes or the color modes like LG C2 , once you enable HDR all setting will be locked .
people should avoid this highly overpriced piece of crap monitor and save the trouble , maybe it gets betterwith a new firmware in the future but i doubt that asus literally doesn't give damn
Also the link above you mentioned is 400HDR monitor this is 1000 HDR with 90% DCI-P3 color gamut

Oops, I thought it was the right one.

Have you tried calibrating in Windows?
