so i have a

Cpu: i7-4790K

Cooler: Corsair H100i v2 70.7 CFM Liquid

Motheboard: MSI Z97-GAMING 5 ATX LGA1150

GPU: MSI GeForce GTX 970 4GB Twin Frozr

16 GB of ram

and when i play a game such like Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege: i get temps in the 90's and when i did stress tests they were reaching 100.. is this normal.. i figured it wasnt.

dont you just apply a pea size amount of thermal paste?

If you're running at stock speeds or even overclocked, those temps are way too high. It sounds like either the liquid cooler isn't working or isn't making proper contact with the IHS on the chip. Remove the heat sink and make sure thermal paste is covering the chip.

alright.. ill try reapplying and making sure its positioned correctly. thank you

i mean.. it should be considering i can feel the radiator blowing and the pumps moving..
