That processor/GPU combo should be fine for another year or so. Just turn down the settings.

I was also planning to OC it to 3.4 - 3.6 ghz and buy a liquid cooler. Would that help or not worth it ?
Overclocking to 3.4-3.6GHz will help a bit on Lynnfield CPUs, but you will still get a bit of bottleneck on some of the more CPU heavy games that has come out lately. I had an i5 760 overclocked to 3.5GHz, and I was still having trouble maintaining 60FPS in GTA V and getting lots of stuttering in the urban areas of Witcher 3, so I upgraded to Skylake. If you're okay with 30 FPS and some stuttering here and there, you might be able to squeeze another year out of your CPU, though you'll do better if you can manage to push a really high overclock, eg. around 4.0GHz.
