CPU turns to crap

Recently I upgraded to windows 8 pro 64-bit. Before this upgrade my computers CPU was fine, now everything I open (Even the main Google page) Causes my CPU to spike to 100% until I close the application. What can I do to fix this problem and be able to use my computer normally again?
