Cpu undervolting help

Hi guys,i want to udervolt my intel q9400 bcs it is louder than my gpu which is mining and it is so irritating.Is there some1 who knows how low i can undervolt it?If some1 know please tell me i cant listen to this cpu and cooler...

Go into the BIOS and reduce core voltage (and frequency if necessary). Stress test with something like Prime95 to ensure you're still stable.

To how much i can undervolt?My intel stock cooler is so loud, i would like to not hear that piece of shit so much.Cpu will work on idle,bcs of mining.Will undervolting help me to reduce noise?

I entered bios and i have found vcore voltage but i cant change it(i selected it but then it just says ignored/(numbers of current voltage)

What motherboard do you have? It may not allow you to adjust voltage. You can also try cleaning the cooler or replacing it with a better one. What is the CPU temperature at idle while the CPU fan is running at full tilt?

P5G41T-M LX2/GB this is mobo.I dont have money to buy new cooler,and about temperatures at idle im not sure,i havent check.Is there any other way to undervolt it?I tried using intel xtu but when i open it i dont have options for that.Guess i need to upload profile in it but idk how

You can start by cleaning your current heatsink, and possibly the rest of the PC as well. You may also benefit from repasting the cooler (can buy new paste for a few bucks usually). Check your temperatures. If it's not getting too hot, you can manually adjust the fan profile to make it run slower/quieter.

I changed thermal paste before 3-4 weeks and i cleaned whole pc.This q9400 was second hand(i just upgraded e6600).Cpu on idle is between 46-52 celsius.Do you know how can i use intel xtu?

two options, get a better cooler, mining can pay for this. Or in power settings in windows limit the max frequency to 50% or similar, that will reduce power consumption a lot more than undervolting.

Are you sure your CPU is actually idling? Take a look at CPU usage, it should be close to 0 when idling. If it's high, you have background processes (or malware) causing your CPU to run faster (and therefore hotter).

Less than 10%, but still loud af.I opened bios it says rpm more than 2000.I opened power settings and set limit to 5% and still loud.In bios,i cant change voltage(just to options as i wrote up),and frequency is grayed in bios.DO you know how can i unlock that?

5pct is too low. Load cpuz and make sure that it's actually clocking down.

To be honest though, you're allegedly making money from this so be prepared to spend.

Yes,it is clocking down, mhz is lower but stil....I cant leave pc at night bcs my father can hear it and cant sleep

So stop mining at night, or put it in a different room, or buy components to make it quiet, which will not be cheap.

Here is what happend, i selected this and saved.Then i saw cpu cooler being more quite but system couldnt fully start up.I dont have photo and cant enter bios.Shouldvi remove cmos battery from mobo?

Okey, it is all fine.By mistake i changed primary boot device(if that is how it is called) and my ssd for secondary so system couldnt start properely.Cpu is on silent mod and now i dont even hear it.Thank you veryyyyy much.Btw does this mod apply for gpu too?Bcs it is super silent.I mean i dont have problem with it, just want to know
