[SOLVED] CPU Upgrade [AMD A10-7870k]

I’m about to get a Radeon Rx580 8g in a week or so. And i’m looking forward to a better cpu because i know my current one will bottleneck the hell out of the rx580.

Cpu - Amd a10-7870k
Motherboard - Asrock FM2A88X+ Killer
PSU - Aerocool Strike-X 800w 80+ silver

Your CPU listed and motherboard listed are not compatible. You can't have an A10 and a 990FX motherboard. They have different sockets.
When you figure out what you have, update your thread.

Oh thats what my uncle told me when I bought it from him. How do i check? This is my first time with tech stuff sorry 😅

Get CPUz -- https://www.cpuid.com/downloads/cpu-z/cpu-z_1.90-en.exe

It will tell you the CPU and motherboard.

Well... Good news and bad news. You know what hardware you have. BUT there really isn't an upgrade except replacing the motherboard, CPU and RAM as a set.
