Cpu upgrade and now no output

I have upgraded my cpu from a i5 6600 to a i7 7700 but now the pc will not output anything, the lighting and fans all turn on but there is no output signal or output power (to keyboard or mouse) and suggestions on fixes?

You probably need a BIOS update. So, put your old CPU back in, Google your motherboard, find the support page and download the BIOS flash utility and the most up to date BIOS. Run the update, drop the new CPU in and it should work.

You probably need a bios update to go from skylake to the newer kaby lake. The two are inter compatible with a bios update on the skylake platform
