My current system consists of;
Intel Pentium G4400
ASUS PRIME Z270-P
MSI Radeon RX 570 Armor MK2 8gb OC
16 gb Crucial 2133
CORSAIR HX Series HX750
500gb SSD

My gaming PC died, so I want to upgrade this machines processor so it will run games at 1080p 60fps. I also play and record music on my PC and I'm getting in to video editing.
So, I have a two part question;
First, what is my least expensive option?
Second, what would work the best with these other parts?
There's not really s budget I have to stick to, but I want it as cheap as possible. I won't go over $300, but I really don't want to spend that much.

Thanks,
Mike

I figure you will be able to reuse your GPU, SSD, and maybe the PSU depending on how old it is. Your...

You need to try to establish what part of the PC has died before you spend your very limited budget.

People could tell you to shop around for a cheap 2nd hand 6700k CPU, for instance, but if your motherboard's toast then you'll need a new motherboard, and that could mean a different CPU would be a better option.

I figure you will be able to reuse your GPU, SSD, and maybe the PSU depending on how old it is. Your motherboard won't support the 8th or 9th Gen Intel so that should be replaced. The RAM is slow by current standards and will hold back performance. Here is my current suggestion,I added a case as well in case you wanted a new one.
