CPU upgrade info

I am upgrading my CPU from intel pentium g620 to i5-3470S.
How much of a gaming performance boost should i expect?
Other specifications:
GPU : Nvidia GTX 550Ti
RAM : 8GB

You'll pick up a few frames per second, more so in CPU dependent games, but your graphics card looks like the bottleneck.

If your games are strategy, sims, and mmo types, you will do nicely.
Not so much from the extra cores, but from the faster single core speed.

FWIW, the "S versions are lower wattage and lower performance than the non "S".
