Hello
I recently purchased two of the Ryzen 7 58003XD cpu's, one for my son and one for myself. My son's Asrock x470 Master SLI/ac motherboard upgrade went smoothly with BIOS upgrade to the beta version that was required.
I installed the same model CPU on my ROG STRIX B450-F GAMING II. The Asus site lists it as compatible and I flashed the bios to the newest version. When I booted up the PC after installing the CPU, I received a warning that the CPU has been changed, ( I do not recall the first message) . I enter the bios and see the CPU is recognized. When I f10 to exit I see no changes were made do you want to exit. I exit and when the reboot happens and it would typically show windows loading I get a a black screen.

I have tried removing the GPU and all but one ram stick and restarting, then reinstalling the GPU.
I have reinstalled original CPU and everything works.
I have cleared cmos and installed a bios version that specifically remarks about improving the performance for the Ryzen7 58003XD in its description.
Always the same outcome black screen.

The last time I went through the swap I took a picture of the warning
Please enter setup to recover BIOS setting.
When RAID config was built, ensure to set SATA config to RAID mode.
Press F1 to Run SetUP.

I have never had raid enabled that I am aware of, I am also not familiar with the many of the settings available in the BIOS. I have never under-volted or overclocked before.

Any insight on getting this to work would be greatly appreciated it. I haven't yet but may try my CPU in my sons when I have the time to pry him off ><

Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

After you've verified that the BIOS was successfully updated, you're advised to clear the CMOS. Do so by powering down the system, disconnect from the wall and display, remove the CMOS battery, press and hold down the power button on case for 30 seconds to drain any residual power and then replace the CMOS battery.

Set storage controller to AHCI, then CSM to disabled.

See if that helps.
