CPU upgrade problems

I have Dell 0w5363 motherboard and i have bought a Intel core 2 duo E8400 CPU but i have some problems using it so i would like to know what is the problem!

That motherboard with Intel i915P/i915G chipset supports a Pentium 4 HT 3.00ghz (Prescott) CPU (Socket 775 LGA).
The Intel i915P/i915G chipset does not support dual core CPUs, including the Intel core 2 duo E8400.
