Question CPU Upgrade Work and Gaming HIGH FPS

Hello, what CPU would be the best for 1440p and 4k gaming, all the while being extremely good at gaming and working both, basically not just gaming but also a good workload CPU? I also planned on upgrading to the 7900xt or the 7800 series(GPU). I want my CPU to get high frames in demanding games that are CPU intensive and can also hold up easily with demanding workstation tasks such as 3d rendering, machine learning, high-quality video editing, software compiling, and 3d modeling. Also, I want a high-core CPU that has very good singlecore and multicore performance with high clock boosts and a good amount of L3 cache ideal for hard work tasks and CPU-intensive gaming. I was maybe thinking about the i9-14900K or the Ryzen 9 7950X, I know about the instability and overheating problems on the 14th and 13th gen intel CPU but would that be a good choice due to the high core count and high clock speeds and exceptional single-core performance, I think either the Ryzen 9 7950x could also be a good option due to it having a high core count as well. What other options do you guys recommend? Thanks.

If the work you do on your PC puts a roof over your head and food on your table, you need stability. A high core count and performance processor without stability is moot when the end result needs to be a complete task.

Since moving to a new platform will require at least purchasing a processor and motherboard, and in the case of AMD, DDR5 memory, this budget may need to be expanded. It is also possible to get a small amount back by selling the unnecessary components from your current computer.
I meant under 600 for the CPU only, I know that moving to am5 would mean replacing the motherboard and the RAM, I have 64 GB DDR4 RAM, (16x4) Corsair Vengeance RGB, how much could that go, I also might sell my Ryzen 9 3900X, and buy a 9 7950x

It entirely depends on the components you choose. But let's say around $220-250 if you choose the cheapest unused or unopened box motherboards with the X670E chipset and around $300 for those with the X870E. You can get by even cheaper if you're willing to settle for a motherboard with a lower-end chipset.
The price of the processor also matters. The $600 price range includes both the Ryzen 9 7950X and 9950X, the latter with higher workload performance, although it performs similarly to the 7950X in games. The price difference between the two processors is around $85 at the moment.
The price for DDR5 6000-6400 64GB, in 2*32GB modules(sweet point for this AMD Ryzen generations) is around $140-150.

thanks for the insight, but I was thinking about the b650, also my old build features the x570 AORUS master, which I believe is a high-quality mobo that will go for a good amount. I chose the g- skill Trident RGB ram, 32x2 and that is coming over 204, are there any other 64gig kits that are around 150 as you said? I would much rather go for the 7950x because of the higher L3 cache over the 9950x, which is better for gaming and work. Could u send the link

I prefer not to send addresses as prices and availability vary in different countries. I assume that the part of your answer about more L3 cache you are referring to is the Ryzen 9 7950X3D, because the regular 7950X does not have more cache than the 9950X. But still, check out some reviews of the 9950X, because it really does perform better for work and if that is the more important part of your computer activities, it may be the better choice.
