hello folks! once again i have a noob question. is it worth to upgrade my fx 6100 to an fx 8350 my current mobo supports upgrade up to fx 8370. not the fx 9590 though.
also many say tha the 9590 is just an upgraded 8350 not much worth it.

Solution

but here it showing that is much faster.. like 40 % in single thread apps isnt much?
http://www.cpu-world.com/Compare/302/AMD_FX-Series_FX-6100_vs_AMD_FX-Series_FX-8350.html

also i upgraded recently my gpu to an r9 280 x sapphire vapor x.
and i still get low fps in games like guild wars 2 and most mmos who are cpu intensive :<

what upgrade u propose me?

If your motherboard supports newer AMD CPUs, it wouldn't be a bad idea to upgrade. The AMD's first generation FX series were/are junk. They didn't perform any better than Phenoms. The x3xx FX chips are quite a bit stronger than the x1xx FX chips. What motherboard and PSU do you have?

Also, forget about the 9590. There's no reason to buy it when it's an overclocked 8350.

i have an msi 970A-G45 http://www.msi.com/product/mb/970AG45.html#hero-overview
witch on the compatibility section it does say it can support 8350 and 8370 and 6350 fx series proccesors

my psu is a brand new high quality Super Flower Leadex Gold 650w
http://www.pcgameware.co.uk/reviews/power-supplies/super-flower-leadex-gold-650w-power-supply-review/
and it easily powers a Sapphire Radeon VAPOR-X R9 280X without problems.

my motherboard has been failed in the past, and i know about that issue.
it was sent back to the place i bought it and got refurbished with also the latest bios for that mobo from the manufacturer, the 2.6 bios.

since then i did not had any problems.im safe now for an upgrade to fx 8350?

because dont want to buy a new motherboard for this setup.
i would rather get a real upgrade with a n i5 or i7 .

can u give me the best intel cpu +mobo combo for the money(price- performance ratio) that will beat an fx 8350 then? because i dont know intel well:<

This combo beats the 8350 anytime of the day:
