Question CPU Upgrade

I am wondering whether to upgrade my CPU, I know there are numerous thereads such as this.

I have recently upgraded RAM and GPU.

How do I find a chip that is compatible with my existing board and RAM?

Acer Predeator G3-710
Current Chip is Intel i5 6400 @2.7
B150 / IT8732
1151 LGA Socket

Here is a list of compatible processors. You may need a BIOS update to use 7th gen processors (iX-7xxx)

I would look for a good deal on a i7 6700/7700, but you will need an aftermarket cooler as the i7 does not come with a cooler. To run the 7th gen CPU, you will need to update the bios which is pretty straight forward.
