OEM vendors like Dell are not standard like Intel motherboards even if they have the same chpiset and socket they won't work because of the bios which doesn't include newer CPUs microcode.Because both cpus use the same socket and chipset according to pcpartpicker.

This is not always correct, especially in pre-built machines.
