Question CPU Upgrade

My motherboard is the 84FD (I had the PC since November 8, 2019).

I do know the RAM limit is 32GB (I did upgrade to that).

I did check this as well: https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c06124984

Are the CPUs listed the only CPUs compatible with that motherboard or do more recent motherboards actually work with the same one I have (if anyone here has a PC with that same motherboard I have and has more recent CPUs, let me know).

are the processors that are compatible with your motherboard. Might want to make sure your motherboard is on the latest BIOS version prior to any CPU upgrade. Going for anything beyond the 9th gen of Intel processors means that you're going to have to change the motherboard. If you didn't notice, the limitation in your choice of CPU's is the TDP, given how all the compatible processors are 65W in TDP.
