Hi I recently replaced the stock CPU cooler on my 8320e. Temps were fine and games were running well with the stock cooler. I undervolted it to 1.16v and overclocked to 3.7 (turbo and power saving settings are off). These settings have been stable for a year.
I replaced the stock cooler with the AMD wraith cooler for lower noise and temps and some more overclock headroom. However after cleaning and replacing the CPU cooler, my CPU usage while gaming is higher and am experiencing more stuttering.
Before replacing the CPU cooler while playing PUBG, CPU usage stayed under 60 and GPU usage at 100%. Now CPU can be seen going up to 70% usage.
It is strange because my temperatures are actually much improved according to AMD Overdrive.
Im getting about 10-15 C improvement in thermal margin in idle and gaming temps (40c while gaming and 50's in idle)
Also now when booting up my PC, towards the end of finishing booting into Windows my monitors turn off then turn on again which is weird.
Thanks in advance
