Okay, I feel like my CPU is the problem but I don't know too much about computers. I have an i5-6500 and a GTX 1050. I only have problems with some games like Modern Warfare (2019) and Rainbow Six. Is there any fix to this or do I just need a new CPU?

I would try and close all background apps you have not tried yet, you may look at your HDD or SSD usage as well when browsing through tasks and such and do you only have these problems while in game or also out?

I do not have these problems outside of the game, I do however have problems on the loading screen and while in the actual match of MW. And what should the SSD usage be?

EDIT: I believe it is the CPU, it only has 4 threads and I think I probably need more than that for this game.

as long as the ssd is not at 100% I dont really see an issue, You may try reducing all graphics to minimum to see if that might free up some cpu usage, some games use more cpu the gpu.

The game runs great, its just things outside of the game (like discord and such) do not work well and freeze. I also already have most of the things I can turn down turned down.

I would make sure that all of your Graphics card drivers are up to date along with CPU. I would try reinstalling the little programs like discord and see if maybe that would help with the freezing. But there is not really much more you can do without upgrading which would seem to be the issue, I see that Cod only recommends a Intel Core i5 2500k or AMD equivalent . Which I think is extremely low requirement for the game being as new as it is, But other then that you have plenty of ram. Would do a couple scans on your hdd and ssd, as defragging, and optimizing drive.

Ok, thanks a bunch!
