Just today I've noticed a very sluggish response from my pc. I checked the task manager and it said I was using from 5-100% of my cpu. I did all I could to see what was wrong. but it seems like anything I do uses up all my CPU. Especially using chrome like I am now.

The main hog of all cpu usage is the "system idle process" but thats the amount of process that I have to use. system has the most with 15 and under it, chrome with 7.

"system idle process" is just where windows puts unused CPU cycles.
The higher percentage of CPU usage from this process, the less your processor is doing.

I would be more interested to know what antivirus program are you using if any?

Some of them can take unbelievable amounts of system resources. I had one of the PCs at work crippled down to unusable state until I replaced the antivirus program with another.

I use malwarebytes

Im using a program called speccy. The psu is a thermal take 840 watt. I may have overclocked the motherboard before.

Sorry i meant under processes check the Memory (Private Working Set) and ascend to order. If it was any process there with high amount of memory, google the process. Thats if your problem is a process. i7Baby's idea your cpu throttling due to overheating could be a cause too.

For example wmpnetwk.exe from wmp network sharing can eat a lot of memory. Might not be your case, but if you have unfinished or corrupt videos can cause a scan loop and slowly increases memory size affecting performance.

I would gladly download the program and all, but I literally cant do anything without my pc exploding from the cpu being a POS right now. Is there a way I can message you on skype? I have an ipod i can use.
