Okay, boys and girls. It's time to play the Match Game. As I previously mentioned, I have two wireless keyboards ans one wireless mouse. I also have three non-unifying dongles and three unifying dongles. So which will work with which? The * signifies unifying dongle.

Why are you asking this?
Try them all.

Connect dongle #1.
Pair with mouse. Does it work?
Pair with keyboard #1. Does it work?
Pair with keyboard #2. Does it work?
Repeat with next dongle.
Already tried that in part. KB & Mouse worked for a bit then no KB and mouse went wonky.

I have several Logitech combos. Transmitters can be flaky. Unifying software is awful. Things are even worse running windows 11. Don't ask, test each transmitter.

As I'm finding out. Just bought a NEW MK540 combo. The mouse pairs in an instant. The keyboard, NOT on a dare. Since the pc came preinstalled with win11, I seriously thinking about replacing 11 with win10.

I would not expect the problem to be Windows 11 per se.

I am using Windows 11 (Pro): two systems both with Logitech combos.

I do not use the unifying software.

If keyboards and/or mice do not work then look in Reliability History/Monitor and Event Viewer for any related error codes, warnings, or even informational entries that mention Logitech, the keyboard, or the mouse.

Device Manager also reports device related events.

Run "dism" and "sfc /scannow" - Windows may find and fix some related buggy or corrupted files.

Doublecheck that you have the correct drivers installed. Download directly from Logitech - no third party tools or installers.

I had the same problem with the keyboard not pairing. It was the keyboard not transmitting data. I have one windows 10 and two windows 11 PC's running Logi combos.
Installing windows 10 is a bad idea. EOL for windows 10 is in two months.
