My liquid cooling has reached the end of its life so I need to replace it. I removed it and now there's no heatsink. Can I use a house fan to blow air into my cpu and use my computer for an hour or two?
I have a amd fx 8320 with a gigabyte GA-970DS3P.
I read some thread and it said your CPU could fail within a few seconds of boot up. But that thread was really old.
Also I have 2 side fans and 2 top fans and 1 back fan.
If I can use a house fan to help cool should I just place it towards the side fans which are directly in front of the CPU or should I open the side case and have the house fan directly blow onto the CPU.

Solution
No desktop or laptop cpu exists that can run for more then a few seconds without a heatsink

Do NOT try it you have one of the hottest running CPUs around that needs a reasonably good heatsink yo keep it cool

Solution
It's fine, as long as you can keep your thumb on the CPU lid while running it.
Above is not recommended since fat/grease in your finger will need to be cleaned off afterwards and I doubt your finger will like the cooking temperatures for longer than 1 second. (yes, it will heat to and over boiling temperatures)
