Hello,

I have PC with CPU i7 4790K with Asus Z87-Expert motherboard. I didn't use it alsmost at all since 7 years (this PC belongs to my father who died).

And now i wanted to use it and everything is working ok but I got receiving vCore to low - every few seconds. I got Warning every time.

I have checked with banchmark online and when CPU is used in 100% than vcore is arount 1,252V and there is no problem.

But whe using PC without CPU very hight usage - than I got vCore very low.

What does it means - CPU is dieying? Or Moterboard is dieying? The lines 12V, 5V and 3,3V do not changes voltage so i guess that it is not a problem with Power adapter.

See my screenshots.

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

(this PC belongs to my father who died).
I'm sorry for your loss.

Please include the age of the PSU apart from it's make and model. As for the Vcore warning, what other app's do you have running in the background? I used to have an issue with my X48 chipset Rampage Extreme when I ran CPU-Z and ProbeIt when running Intel's IBT. Would always report the rear chassis fan was at 0rpm/0power in spite of the fan running without a hitch.

You could reflash the BIOS and then clear the CMOS and then see if the problem persists, if your PSU isn't subpar.

I used my SSD disk with Windows from my second PC where everythink is ok.

I did flash BIOS and clear CMOS.

Of course I see this message only when Asus AI Suite with motherboard parameters is running.

A core in the low power C7 state is disconnected from the main voltage rail. It is true that inactive cores in this state are not getting any voltage. They are sitting idle at 0 volts.

If you do not want to look at those warning messages, exit AI Suite and uninstall it. Your computer will run fine when AI Suite is not installed.
