Not sure if this is the right board for this. New build. My Gigabyte mobo has cpu temp warning and fan fail warning in the bios. Should these be enabled?

Solution
Hi abe7475
it would be a wise move to enable both , if your cpu overheats and dies it will be a very costly thing to replace a cpu and or motherboard
for the sake of a warning prior to this to give you an opporunity to shut down and prevent damage
You should enable them both. Basically your system will make an alarming sound/beeping to warn you that you are reaching bad temperatures. You must then stop what you were doing and/or shutdown the PC for the sake of safety.
