Cpu Water Cooling (Corsair h60)

This might be a nooby question but i recently install my h60 water cooling block on sideways. This causes no problems but it just aesthetically looks unappealing. So my question is, Will i have to put thermal paste down due to it messing with the pre-installed thermal on the bottom of the block or will it be fine and shouldn't mess with eh pre-install on the bottom of it.

No you shoulded but might need tiny bit just to make sure you smooth it out like a thin layer on the cpu
