Hello, i am having trouble overclocking my i5 2500k. I set my multiplier to 100x42 but CPU-Z only reporting 37. I bumped by the voltage to 1.2 and even tried 1.4 nothing changes the multiplier. The cpu is still only listening to stock clocks as its staying at 3.3 and bumping up to 3.7 as max.

My motherboard is a z77a-g43

Sounds like the Bios are not excepting the OC. After you exit teh bios are you saving the settings? To easily do this Press F10 key which brings up the save setting and restart window.

Also while it restarts pay attention to how long it take to restart after saving the new settings. After the the power turns on IF it takes a lot longer than a normal restat the BIOS are resetting itself to a safe setting.

It saves it the bios reports 100x42 as the clocks. The time is normal, but motherboard retry the oc 2 times but it just starts right away

I will someone recommended reflashing the bios. Currently doing that
