sharkyextreme has a article dealing with a 6000+ on a 800mhz memory system that may be able to explain the "off" memory frequinces.look under cpus until you find the article on the 6000+ should be around feb. of 2007.it will either explain your memory problem or leave you total cofused :D

Does not apply. OP's system is Socket 939. That article refers to an AM2 system. C'mon people it's simple to read the post.

i have the same problem with my setup. and i too have OCZ plats at 2,2,2,5 setting (DDR400 dual channel). CPU-Z shows me at 173.6MHz

i'm on a skt.478 asus p4p800-e deluxe board. and when i tried to manualy put it at 200MHz, it wouldn't post at all.

My Asus S478 MB did that too when I first got my ram. Try clearing CMOS. It worked for me.

@OP: Dont' know if this will do the trick, but its probably worth checking:

According to your mobo manual, (thx KyleStl for digging that up) your BIOS supports a LDT bus - which usually is a multipler of the base bus rate forming the overall Hypertransport rate (which is what your accessing your memory over). But the exact usuage varied from mobo to mobo (some, like mine, don't even have a LDT in BIOS).

Anyway, I'm wondering if this is somehow factoring into your issue. According to your manual, its default to auto - can you tell us what yours is set to? If auto, set it to manual and see what options it gives you to select from and post that back here (but then leave it at what it was at for now).

Benzen69, sorry I didn’t correctly read your initial post. Here are some links that should help regarding your specific question and for general knowledge. First is a performance review from Anandtech.

http://www.anandtech.com/showdoc.aspx?i=2397&p=1

Second is a product spec page, by the way specs for Toledo are tough to find.

http://labs.anandtech.com/search.php?q=AMD+Athlon+64+X2+%28939%29+4400%2B+2x1MB+Toledo

Third is an article about DDR ram.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DDR_SDRAM

And DDR2 just for GP.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DDR2_SDRAM

A white paper from AMD.

http://www.amd.com/us-en/assets/content_type/white_papers_and_tech_docs/24659.pdf

More specs on the CPU.

http://www.starmicro.net/detail.aspx?ID=693

The link for your motherboard, you can get your MB manual and BIOS updates here also if required.

I'm wondering if the BIOS was setup for the new CPU vs. old settings for the old CPU? Also are the various setting set at SPD, Auto, Manual or some other setting? It seems like in reading about the CPU and mb I saw something about needing a BIOS update, perhaps which will allow the tech data about to be better interrogated by cpu-z as well as a better running board. In looking at the CPU-Z graph two things seem to conflict. The chart shows 199.9x 11 and the side bar shows the ram freq at 183.3 but also shows 199.9. I'm making the assumption that all of the parts are OK and just some tuning is needed. If something is wrong with the components then no amount of fiddling or tinkering will help. That doesn't seem to be the case here. As stated 200x11 will get you to where you want to start. If the MB is selecting a 12 multiplier then refer to that part of the BIOS. Maybe part of the BIOS is auto select and part has been selected for manual? I just read through the manual and at least the PDF doesn't show a way to adjust the mulitplier. You'll have to look through that section. There is a section for "load fail safe defaults" and "Load optimized defaults" try each of those and see what you get. Mrs. B makes a good point about cool & quiet. The Bios has a setup to enable/ disable. Also look in the power setting in control panel and select desktop so the cool & quite is not affecting your readings.

Best to you.

Bright Man from Mega Man IV. It is my last name (Brightman). If you're clever you can probably figure out my whole name and where I live.
