I don't know if this is something to be concerned about or CPUID is just being screwy but my temps have been spiking all over the place at 120+ degrees celcius whether in gaming or rendering when under load. Is this is something to be concerned about? I'm pretty sure that this is nothing more than a bug and temps are actually staying around the 50-56 mark but I just want to be sure. This has never happened before I placed the Intel Compiler patch but it has pretty much been popping up randomly like this for the past few months.

Problem is that other programs only show current temps so there's no way to know if it really reached that temp before throttling back. HWinfo shows the lows and the highs so what we could be seeing are indeed spikes (possibly for a split second) before turning back to normal levels. This is what I'm concerned about. Any programs you could recommend that can show graphs as operations in the CPU take place?
