CPUMSR and Nforce2 - Anybody got it to work ?

Hi,

I have converted my superlocked Barton 2800+ into a "mobile" processor using
the L5 trick so that I can change the multiplier by software.
(I'm not looking for extreme overclocking, I just want to get my fsb up to
200 MHz at x10.5 or x11).
However I have an Asus A7N8X Dlx Rev2 and I have not been able to get CPUMSR
to work (it hangs the puter).
I have tried editing the Northbridge registers F6 & E7 (bit4) with no luck.

Has anybody managed to persuade CPUMSR to work with an Nforce2 chipset ?

TIA

Clive

AFAIK the nforce2 chip-set does not support 'power-now' multiplier
changing.... So you may have wasted your time doing the mobile
conversion.

I realise this, but no big deal... it only took 2 minutes (magnifying glass
and a pencil).
Thanks anyway
