Cracking sound from my Logitech Z906 soundsystem

Hi,

title says it all.

I've got popping/cracking noises out of my Logitech z906 5.1 surround system i've put the green jack plug in frontpanel headset input, when i use the set on my phone with the same jack it has no problems at all. I'm using realtek high definition audio drivers. with a 7.1 soundcard please help me on this problem. I'm really starting to get annoyed by the way my music gets played now it sounds horrific.

Note: i have a razer kraken 7.1 aswell, which has no problems at all. although it's USB device.
(just read that its got its own soundcard.)

Try plugging it in at the rear jack, because there are a lot of stuff going on in your computer pluging in the front (and sometimes even at the back) can cause static noise

seemed to have find out the problem, weird one though.. my Realtek HD audio configurator was set to "Stereo" whilst it had to be set to "5.1" ..
