Crackling Noise Playing Games

Hey , I've noticed that while playing some games like tropico 4 , my computer starts to make some crackling noise, I have a relatively new and good PC with a 760 and an i5 4670, so I was just wondering does anybody know what the problem is?

It is probably failing PSU. My PSU has that issue. I actually just asked a question here earlier regarding my failing/faulty PSU and the sounds it makes (crackling is one), and everyone told me to send it to the manufacturer (Corsair) right away.

Ya I found out it was the PSU. It doesn't seem to do it very often , its only when i play games like tropico 4 and Sniper Elite, It runs dayz full settings without the noise as well so I'm not sure is it worth sending it back?

According to the people who answered my question, yes. A failing PSU could kill your components at anytime.
