So recently I bought a sound blaster x-fi 5.1 pro sound card because my built in sound card died. Now when im using my regular earbuds I have no issues whatsoever, No crackling.
Now I want to use my old xbox 360 headset. Im using my turtle beaches x31's because I wanted a wireless solution that I already had in my home. When I listen to music or in a game I occasionally get crackling noises but ends up just stopping later on when I start using the headset more often. Is this cracking noise happening because im using an old wireless connection?

my old card never touched my headset. It couldnt work with them anyway. nothing is loose either

How come your old card didn't work with the headset?
Is it USB? If it's USB it's not using the sound card at all. Just a bad headset, or RF interference.

If you are connecting it through analogue, make sure the contacts are nice and clean. slight movement on connections can cause a scratching crackely sound.

Scratching and crackling sounds are not coming from the card, you proved this from the earbuds working fine.

I am using an analogue connection. Its probably the RF interference. Is there anyway to remove this interference? would moving it away from the rest of my setup help?

So a quick update for this, the crackling sound has seemed to go away. Ive also had some sound issues, when turning up my sound on my headset and transmitter id get this pinging sound that was hard to ignore, instead of connecting the USB power to my pc I used used a USB wall outlet to power it and that has removed any interference I was getting
