Crashes While Gaming

Every once in a while when playing World of Tanks (the only game I've noticed this on so far), the screen freezes and I can't do anything other than ctrl-alt-delete, which makes the screen go blank and I have to restart my computer. After I restart, my desktop icons will have been rearranged, so I suspect whatever happens prevents maximum resolution, even though nothing is being displayed at all. I thought it might be my overclock but it happened once when I had the overclock off.

I also have a problem where whenever I alt-tab out of the same game, my monitor's settings reset but I suspect this is a different problem altogether.

My graphics card is an MSi GTX 950 OC 2GD5T and my monitor is an Acer XB240H ABPR. Any idea what might be causing the problem?

One thing to try would be if you have another monitor or a way to put World of Tanks in Windowed mode and use MSI Afterburner to see the temperature of your GPU when it typically crashes.

If it was more of a software issue I would just make sure you have the most current driver for your Graphics card!

Oh I haven't tried changing the monitor! Haven't noticed any problem in windowed mode and the temperature doesn't go above 80C. I do have up-to-date drivers though :)

I tried it in fullscreen mode again without the overclock and haven't had any problems so far so I'm gonna keep going and if it lasts, I'm gonna guess my overclock was unstable and that I was still overclocked when I thought I wasn't the first time.

As for my system, I have an i7-6700K and an Antec Earthwatts EA-650. I also have 2x8 GB Corsair Vengeance LPX 2400MHz, an SSD and an HDD and 9 fans total. Haven't seen any other signs of insufficient power supply though.
