Pc got stuck in a boot loop which I managed to get out of. Fresh install of windows on my SSD and everything seems fine until my pc crashes. Everytime when I try to update my Radeon 7870 GHz Edition drivers the PC crashes. I've got a ASROCK 970 Extr3 2.0 motherboard with an FX-4300 processor.
PC just crashed again when just browsing files but most crashes still happen at the gpu driver instal point.
When the PC crashes the fans keep spinning but the screen just goes black..
would this be a GPU issue or something else? This PC is 7 years old and i don't mind replacing the motherboard and cpu but I'm hesitant about buying a new GPU unless i really HAVE to.
first time poster and computer noob so any help is appreciated..
edit1: I've already tried de-installing all gpu drivers in safe mode and then installing new ones. Didn't work.
