Hi,

I'm at a bit of a loss here so seeking help. I have a gaming PC that keeps crashing to desktop (sometimes a bluescreen but usually the game just closes) and 90% of the time I get no error both from the game or from the Windows Event logs. The crashes are random to me but is guaranteed in any gaming session so is really off putting not just to me but my friends I play with as well. I work in IT so have tried lots of things but I am at a loss here.

I managed to get some crash logs today from CounterStrike 2

I have the following:

Windows 11 64-bit

Motherboard: MAG B760 TOMAHAWK WIFI (MS-7D96)
Processor: 13th Gen Intel Core i7-13700F (24 CPUs), ~2.1GHz
Memory: 32GB RAM (Corsair Vengeance LPX 5200 C40 2x16GB)
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti (MSI) (drivers 576.52 - latest at time of writing)
storage:
931GB KINGSTON SNV2S1000G (SATA-2 (SSD)) (1 TB)
931GB KINGSTON SNV2S1000G (SATA-2 (SSD)) (1 TB)
PSU Gigabyte P750GM Gold

I have reinstalled Windows several times. At the moment I basically have windows 11, steam and 2 games installed.

I have ran CPU benchmarks,
Windows Memory Diagnostic (no issues found)
SFC /scannow,
chdsk /R.
updated drivers
updated BIOS
Limited the CPU to 95% in power settings (windows)
check integrity of games in steam.
reinstalled Windows.

All the usual suspects.

I have finally managed to get some dmp files from Counterstrike and thought I would ask if anyone could help troubleshoot. I believe it's a hardware issue and just trying to narrow it down.

I can upload elsewhere - please let me know where.

thanks

This is one of the signs of the 13th Gen Intel platform's degradation issue.

updated BIOS
For the sake of relevance, please mention the BIOS version.

Memory: 32GB RAM (Corsair Vengeance LPX 5200 C40 2x16GB)
Are you running the ram with X.M.P enabled? Got a link to the ram kit you're working with?

Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti (MSI) (drivers 576.52 - latest at time of writing)
Use DDU to remove al GPU drivers(intel, AMD and Nvidia) in Safe Mode, then manually install driver version 566.36 in an elevated command.

I have reinstalled Windows several times.
In offline mode, recreating the bootable USB installer to rule out a corrupt installer?

PSU Gigabyte P750GM Gold
Might want to go through this;

You've posted this thread in the Prebuilt & Enterprise section, got a link to the people who you bought it from? If not, I'll need to move this thread to another section.

hi,

thanks for the quick response

BIOS is version VA.C0

Memory - XMP appears to be enabled in BIOS however if I try to disable it, it bluescreens and cannot boot without enabling it again. I'm not sure what other detail I can give other than Corsair Vengeance LPX 5200 C40 2x16GB

GFX - I can try a clean install as suggested but I have done multiple reinstalls of windows and used different versions of Nvidia drivers

It's a prebuilt by Opsys but the model is no longer shown - https://opsys.co.uk/ was Aeros-X but has since been superseded by the looks of it.

I have tried installing windows from different USBs, different ports and yes both offline and online.

thanks for the video on PSU but the conclusion is...don't buy it. It's too late for that!
