I'm currently having issue with CPU & RAM consumption when I play Dragon Age Inquisition on medium graphics setting.

I have a 3.5GHz Quad Core CPU, an 8GB RAM, a 630W 80+ Power Supply, and an R9 280X 3GB Video Card but the CPU and RAM usage hits up to around 90% consistently every time I play Dragon Age Inquisition. It doesn't happen with other game. and the FPS isn't that great either especially on high graphics settings, it fluctuates like crazy (40fps-60fps). on medium, it's okay (around 50-60fps)

it happens when i play the game and the game only and yes i just installed the game. the first time i played the game i started experiencing the drop on the game alone. even game like Crysis 2 worked fine

i have checked for everything (or at least i believe i did) and they all seem updated. correct me if i'm wrong but i did this by accessing Device Manager.

As for checking graphics card settings, how do i do that?

i should add that the Graphics Card Im using I bought it from Ebay as used. Although I did check and made sure that it is an r9 280x and im 90% sure that it is (through software)

Based on what your title says, it is pretty normal, it's just the game, not your fault. I have the same fps dips, so does everyone else, nvidia or AMD, 400 hrs into the game and it is still there. There was a patch awhile ago, but I don't think it did much good. My RAM usage is 7.5GB minimum and 14GB maximum when playing that game, or any new games really.

Edit: But also try disabling Origin in-game, see if that helps, sometimes the Origin overlay causes fps issues.

it's normal that it (a game) consumes as much as 8GB of RAM?

I'm having the same issue with my intel 4690K overclocked to 4.5GHz and a R9 390X. CPU usage is at 100% and I get really bad stuttering. I bought the game when it first came out and had no problems playing through the entire game on a gtx960. Now I'm getting worse performance...

I know right!? And loading takes forever. None of the games I play take this long to load. Even Assassin's Creed (the one that takes place in France) doesn't take that long even though my computer clearly couldn't support me because I was getting FPS stutter.
