I have a sony vaio laptop and my seagate laptop HDD installed in the same has developed a few Ultradma CRC errors. There's no SATA cable therein. It's a direct fixture or a slot in which the HDD is hooked in to.
Had it been a desktop I know one solution is to replace the SATA cable.
However what to do when it's an HDD installed in a direct slot in a laptop?
Where does HDD SMART CRC errror point to when it comes to laptop devices that don't have any SATA cable. (at least not visible to me when I open the HDD enclosure)
