Hello, thank you for any help ahead of time. What I am looking for I am not sure even exists, and most of the reason I am asking this question is out of curiosity.
OK, I have an ASUS RT-N66U router that can use a USB drive to download files without a pc. However, I don't have an external drive that is big enough to be utilized for this purpose. On the other hand, I do have a 4TB drive on my desktop pc. What I want to do,if possible:
Partition a piece of the 4TB drive on the pc (windows 8) to create a new 1TB partition. Then, hook a USB cable from the pc to the router. Finally, some sort of software solution that will use the usb port and make the 1TB partition seen as a 1TB external drive to the router(or any other pc).
Is this possible?
