Creating Custom Screensaver?

Hello, I was wondering if anyone knows if Win98se has the components to make a custom screensaver? I would like to take a series of jpegs and create a slideshow of sorts. I would like the images to crossfade into one another. Any suggestions on this ,or even if there is a third party software that will make this happen? Well, creating custom screensavers is as easy as building a simple Visual Basic application. If you are comfortable with Visual Development Environments like this, just create an application and rename it from .EXE to .SCR, and you get your screensaver (for setup, etc. options, implement /s switch).
